Synopsis:
Nests widely in tree cavities from the eastern edge of the Cascades
west to the coast, but becomes more local nearer
the coast. Most notable are the records from central Lake County, the Ochoco
Mountains, and possibly the Blue Mountains.
Hybridizes often with Red-naped Sapsucker along the east slope of the
Cascades.
